Stocks Drop On China Woes; Apple Sinks Below 100

Stocks dropped more than 2% in higher volume after China devalued its currency, fanning concerns about the world’s No. 2 economy. The Nasdaq sank 3%, the S&P 500 declined 2.4% and the Dow Jones industrial average lost 2.3%. Volume rose 22% on the NYSE and 20% on the Nasdaq compared to Wednesday, according to preliminary data.
